All references to TMS on this website refer to repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is an FDA cleared treatment for depression.

The authors have worked to ensure that all the information on this application is accurate at the time of the publication and is consistent with general psychiatric and medical standards. The authors have also worked to ensure that the information concerning medications is accurate at the time of this publication and consistent with the standards set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the general U.S. medical community. Each patient learning module is divided into sections which are specifically designed to educate patients receiving TMS treatments. The sections are learning units which build knowledge one step at a time. This allows patients to easily navigate the program. As patients can be at different places in their need for education, there is an optional module with additional sections which can meet specific needs.

Each module ends with a self-assessment which is shared with the approved clinician and technician. It is intended that this website and its modules are to be used with a patient’s prescribed treatment plan for recovery from depression.
